The Ohio Fair Trade Network and the InterReligious Task Force on Central America announce the 5th Annual Ohio Fair Trade Expo on Saturday October 25, 2014. It will be held at John Carroll University’s Dolan Center for Science and Technology in University Heights from 9am to 4pm. For the first time ever, the Ohio Fair Trade Network is offering this event free to the public.
The Ohio Fair Trade Expo showcases socially and environmentally conscious consumerism with speakers, workshops, family activities, and a fair trade marketplace. We will have unique tracks for high schoolers, college students, justice advocates and Girl Scouts ($4 for fair trade Girl Scout patch made from cooperatives in El Salvador). This year’s keynote speaker is Chris Treter, co-founder of Higher Grounds Coffee.
