BeadforLife offers a great lens through which to view the issue with its successful, holistic approach to helping its members create sustainable livelihoods for themselves.

To provide these trips, BeadforLife is partnering with Conservation Concepts, run by Mark Jordahl, husband of Co-Founder Devin Hibbard, and the leader of two previous BeadforLife trips.

Experience Uganda:  February 28 - March 13, 2009 -  This trip offers many opportunities to immerse oneself in the cultures and wildlife of Uganda, with many opportunities to interact with BeadforLife and itsmembers. Visit the BeadforLife village, an AIDS clinic, a school, local conservation projects, and go on an unforgettable safari to Murchison Falls National Park.

Teaching Global Issues:  July 11 - 24, 2009 - This trip is specifically designed for teachers who address global issues in their classrooms and want an experience that will really bring those issues to life.  The trip will be co-led by Mark Jordahl, who has been an environmental educator for 15 years and is the husband of BeadforLife co-founder Devin Hibbard, and Ben Wheeler, a Master Teacher for Facing the Future, a global issues curriculum organization.  This trip will have many of the features of the Experience Uganda trip, but will also include time spent with Ugandan teachers, visits to schools, and discussions on how to bring this experience back into the classroom.
