The Federation seeks to engage interested individuals and organizations in its work and the work of its members.
Individuals
Individuals
interested in the business of fair trade are
encouraged to become Fair Trade
Associates. For US$75 / year, Associates
receive updates from FTF and learn about
industry-wide issues and concerns for fair
trade retailers, wholesalers and producers.
Benefits include:
- Invitation to and discounts on the FTF annual conference and other activities
- Access to FairTalk, a listserv forum sponsored by FTF and the Fair Trade Resource Network
- Networking opportunities with FTF members
Interested individuals should return the Associates Information Form. Associates status pertains only to an individual and not to any business owned by or connected to the individual.
Non-Trading Organizations
FTF
works with a number of partner organizations to
enhance fair trade worldwide. Through
financial and in-kind support, non-profit,
non-governmental organizations which seek to
enhance the fair trade movement, but are not
engaged in trading, can work with FTF to
develop of projects, to reach out to the
public, to promote responsible consumerism, and
to further the development of fair trade and
the empowerment of artisans and farmers in
developing countries.

Better World Telecom Affinity
Program
FTF also benefits from a variety
of affinity programs, including a relationship
with Better
World Telecom. Better World provides an
alternative to mainstream telecom providers
which can save businesses and individuals as
much as 40% on domestic or international long
distance expenses. Furthermore, Better World
will donate 5% of each bill directly to the FTF
– every month.
